Background:Y-ACT, Youth in Action, AfriYAN and UNFPA partnered from November 2020 in the execution of a regional campaign in Africa that involved the curation of the first-ever regional platform focusing on the pillars of Education, Engagement and Collective Action/Mobilization to meet the current needs of the youth population and to foster youth-led accountability for the ICPD+25 commitments within the COVID-19 pandemic period and beyond. This resulted in the launch of the Youth Power Hub (YPH) on 16th December, 2020.The YPH has organically grown into an advocacy force with clear structures of engagement for the youth organizations from over 23 focus countries in Africa to influence positive SRHR outcomes. Therefore, YPH is currently mandated to influence key SRHR priorities that directly and/or indirectly implicate on the ICPD25 commitments. As such, the Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights(SRHR) Bill tabled by the 4th East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in 2021 provides an opportunity for the YPH to ensure meaningful youth participation in the ongoing SRH Bill consultative process. In the same breadth, there is an on-going consultative process engaging adolescents and youth in developing a five-year Advocacy SRHR Strategy for the region under the 2gether 4 SRHR programme that will ultimately serve to ensure that the objectives of key programs such as the Youth Power Hub are aligned and ultimately address the core needs of this target population.
