QABALE DUBA FOUNDATION

About Us

Qabale Duba Foundation (QDF) is a community based organization founded by QABALE DUBA in 2014. The organization is championing for the rights of girls and women in Northern Kenya with a focus on Marsabit County. The aim of the foundation is to promote the development of pastoralist’s girls and women through facilitating their access to education, health, social services and economic empowerment.

QDF has done this through building on the aspirations and achievements of women and girls. Through our advocacy of breaking silence on menstrual hygiene, our PAPA (Pads and Panties) project has able to keep  managed to keep more than 2,000 girls in schools in the village by providing them with sanitary pads and undergarments. QDF has started adult learning classes in the villages to enhance community literacy for the young girls/women that were married off at a young age and never had the opportunity to attend formal school.
