Breaking Through—Youth-Centered Multi-Sectoral Programming

Date/Time: September 20th from 10:00-11:30am EST

Location: McCann Global Health, 622 3rd Avenue, New York

Join Y-ACT and partners at our UNGA Side Event, “Breaking Through: Youth-Centered Multi-Sectoral Programming,” as we align with the Summit of the Future Action Days to elevate youth voices and drive meaningful change. The Action Days serve as a pivotal platform to amplify youth participation in global cooperation, and our session contributes to these efforts by tackling the challenges of delivering integrated, multi-sectoral services for youth.

Young people don’t experience their lives in silos; they demand holistic solutions—spanning health, economic empowerment, social support, and decision-making engagement. While it is easy to call for integrated programming, making it a reality is much more difficult. Our world isn’t yet structured to fully leverage the potential of young people, and it’s essential that we change this. This session will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders—youth, NGOs, governments, funders, and multilateral organizations—to explore how we can ‘breakthrough’ existing barriers and fulfil our commitments to future generations. With a dynamic format featuring youth testimonials, group discussions, and panel conversations, we aim to amplify youth leadership and craft actionable recommendations for a more integrated approach to youth-centred programming.
